Help WITH Power Cap

    hi i need your help,:)

    i wana have the best sound system with my buget!:p i've bought my subs and amps but:( having problem with what power Capacitor i should or need to get?:confused:

    in the boot i will have::D

    2 x 12" Pioneer TS-W306C Subwoofer 400Watts RMS Each:eek:
    1 x Kenwood KAC-8152D Amp:eek:

    ---------------------------------

    I do not know what power cap i need to use? :mellow: and also where do i need to install it?:mellow:

    Welcome! Forget the cap you don't need it. Your better off to upgrade your wiring to 4 gauge.

    thanks for ur answer u saved me some money lol so whats this 4 gauge wiring? will this make a difference?

    The wire running from your battery to the trunk-amp should be 4 gauge which is the thickness. The upgrade you need is called the big three. there's a sticky on this site about it. Basically you should have 4 gauge wire going from battery to trunk, battery to frame chassis for negative and there is a wire going from your battery to the altenator which also should be 4 gauge- it is called the charging wire.

    you need all three places with that wire, also battery negative to engine so i guess that's 4 places. If you have that then you will have no more power problems.

    This is the big 3, also there should be 4 gauge wire from the battery negative to the engine block. The ground wires are just as important as the power wires, they all should be 4 gauge. If you do that you should be fine. Don't worry about asking questions, lots of people here happy to help.

    Also...your amps ground should be on solid shiny metal, use heavy sandpaper and make it as short as possible, most people say under 18" but i would say make it around 12" or less, shorter wire = less resistance which = more power! lol
