two Whip Audio speakers(200watts/100wattsRMS) in the front with O2 tweeters (70Watts/40RMS) I have two Alpine type R in the rear(275watts/55RMS) replaced the tweeters with O2 (Same as above) because they blew... I Have a Rockford Fosgate 301x amp for the interior speakers...Amplifier Type: Multi-Channel RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 40W x 4 THD at 4-Ohm RMS Power: 0.05% Bridged RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 150W x 2 Speaker Level Inputs: yes Preamp Outputs: yes Built-In Crossovers: HP/LP Bass Boost: None Frequency Response: 20-20,000 Hz Signal to Noise Ratio: 100 dB Fuse Rating: 30 amps I have a Rockford Fosgate P5002: 125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms 250 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms 500 watts RMS in bridged mode at 4 ohms stereo or bridged mono output 4-ohm stable in bridged mode I have it bridged powering a JBL 12" P1222 in a sealed box: Power Handling, RMS 400 Watts Power Handling, Peak 1200 Watts Sensitivity 97dB Now, I have an MTX amp 202 laying around that I want to hook up to the system: 50 WATTS X 2 RMS INTO A 4OHM LOAD 100 WATTS X 2 RMS INTO A 2 OHM LOAD 200 WATTS X 1 RMS BRIDGED INTO 4 OHM LOAD FREQUENCY RESPONSE 20-20,000 HZ My question is can I hook the RF 301x to the frnt speakers only and the MTX to the rears..... I will then have 3 amps...is that ok? I also have a crossover and 1farad cap, and a redtop optima under
I have an active crossover and I forgot to mention a pioneer 580mp HU.... I was just going to but another amp (4-channel) that had more power like a Jupiter XX, but money is tight and I have the MTX just laying around... I plan to get Beyma 6.5" components for the front's and move the Whip Audio set up to the rear...6.5" BTW and take the 6x9" out of the rear....as I hear that oval shape speakers sound distorted. I know a lot of you say ditch the rear, but I like it.....
the answer to your question is yes. On a side note, i use 5x7 in the rear and they sound super clean and are still oval shaped.
