I'm not looking for anything too serious. What is a good single 10 inch sub for under like 130? The preferably under 100
I suggest looking on Crutchfield. They always have deals under $100 for subs. I would look at Rockford, Infinity, and Kicker. Those are probably the best that Crutchfield carry.
I don't recommend Punch subs from Rockford...unless the cone is made out of something besides crappy brittle plastic that will crack is touched Get this http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=30
Look into the Phoenix Gold RSD 10 if you want a nice one around 100 bucks. JBL GTO is a cheap little good sub if you want to save some cash. Of course there is always Azn's ED subs. Some others that come to mind that are good but cheap ones are like the Infinity Reference and Polk MOMO subs as well as the Boston Acoustics G2 subs. All those above are good solid subs. Look around and see what you can find a good deal on. If you wanted something a little less "mainstream" so to speak go for the Elemental Designs subs or maybe look into some RE audio subs.
okay, I'm gonna be runnin about 150 watts RMS through it. Will that really affect the sound a ton if it's like a 300 RMS sub?
you just won't be getting the most out of it. it'll sound soft and won't really hit as hard as it should.
I am gonna have to say Elemental Desings 11KV2's. I know you guys are probaly sayin enough already, but I can not beleive how good my ED 9KV2's sound. I am looking to upgrade to two ED 11 KV2's for even more.
I've heard they were good. and cheap. I wish I had the balls to buy something without hearing it. lol
ed Thats my point, I tool a gamble with ED 9's and I love em! But I think that is one time only deal you get! I am looking at the Dayton Titanic MKII 12" now to replace the two ed's.
if you are only running 150 watts rms it would be best to find a sub close to that power rating to really get the most out of it.
just run this thing.. be done.. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13034
okay, how are audiobahns? That seems to be what I'm looking at the most. it's fairly cheap, and ported.
