SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!! i have a 2001 honda civic EX coupe. i currently have 2 12" rockfords being pushed by a class D MTX amp. at certain levels of bass my car rattles like hell! will dynamat help?? it sounds like i actually have to tighten bolts all around my car to stop the rattling? another thing is it sounds like its just the plastic interior that rattles...is there any way to get rid of this problem?? there has to be somebody that has dealt with this problem and has some type of solution. any information would be greatly appreciated...thanks!

where there any rattles when you FIRST got your subs in??

Post models of subs and amp

Sound damping will help...Elemental designs has some neoprene foam matting you may be able to put on the back sides of the panels or you can brush on the V3

My subs are the Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 12".
My amp is the MTX Audio Thunder81000D.

And yes there were rattles when i first put my subs in. the worst rattles were around my back-deck of my civic.

keep in mind the system i have now comes after my 12" W7 and my JL 1000/1 amp. the rattles didnt seem as bad when i had that loud ass system. but with this major downgrade in sub and amp quality it seems like the sound is worse from the system and it seems like the rattles are worse to?? i dont understand how that works...

Yes, sound dampening will help out 100% it keeps your car from vibrating/rattling.
Until you use some sort of dampening material. It wont stop it will get worse.

I have a hatchback and believe it or not. It don't rattle as much as you would think I have no dampening material my last car was rattle tat tat ...

search parts express.com, they carry all sorts of sound dampening. From expensive to cheap...

You may also choose to use RV Expansion foam, available in several grades at auto parts dealers and most building suppliers. The rankings are based upon the expansion rate of the foam. A high rate may expand too much while curing causing visible swelling of the joints between molding sections of your interior.
