hi there i have 2 12" Dvc directed subs that are 500wrms & 750w output. Are these subs wired to 4 ohms or 1 ohms???As there is a speaker cable connecting them on the outside of the box? sorry im new to the wirering side?pics below This is a link to the amp i have been advised to run them on & im getting it 2night http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KENWOOD-KAC-9...DVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item330078612864
It appears that the subs are wired series, so each speaker will be an 8 ohm......(assuming each voice coil is 4 ohm). Next the subs are each wired together in parellel by the jumper wire on the outside of the box.....this will create an effective 4 ohm load to your amp... by the way, thanks for the pics! Wish more folks did that, makes it SO much easier to help out!!!!!
so if i ran the one speaker cable to the amp how would i connect it? bridge or 1 channel etc? or should i connect speaker cables to each side of the box and run it through 2 chanels? it used to have just the one pair of wires running from my sub to the amp
What impedance are the subs?? I'd wire it all up parallel parallel to the amp if the subs are both dual 4 ohms
