Well, I can't believe what people will pawn for $$$, seen subs/ amps that the pawn shop guy told me he paid $20 for and he sells for $100 Anyone, here been so bad on luck, they have to pawn audio up!.....:jawdrop:
nope not me. but i did get my PG M44 at a pawn shop.payed 95.00 for it. that was about 6 or 7 years back.was told it retailed for about 900 when new.and it was only 7 or 8 years old. it is one tough SOB
it depends on the shop.i've been dealing with the same shop off and on for 9 years now. i pop in at least once a month to check out what they have. thats how i found my M44. i got a real sweet deal on some xbox games. 5.00 each.
well what i do know about the shop owner is that he will get on the internet to check the value of whatever somone brings in.then he tells him what he can give him/her for it. i bought a bose center ch from him 2 years back. he was asking 175.00,but when he checked.it was and is still selling for 200. then we negociated for 125 even.a fair price.he even checked ebay and there were 2 going for 150ish each. he's always got old school punch amps and old school hifonics for sale.saw a punch 150 for 99.00.
I walk into pawn shops on occasion but all I ever find is Pyramid crap. They must have contracts with pawn shops cuz every one of them has new Pyramid stuff. Occasionally there will be something of better quality but it will look beat up and will be marked too high.
