Ok, this morning I was packing my driveway down because of the 7"+ snow and go stuck, so I slammed my car from Drive to Reverse and it jammed up and now my subs hum in Accessory and when the car is on. I can have the volume all the way down and they are humming, I have taken out and put back in every wire on the amp and the RCAs on the deck. It's really frustrating me, help!

Could be your alternator going out. Take it to a local electrical shop and have them check it with a clamp meter.

Ok, would an amp getting hot mean I need a bigger power wire?

it can mean alot.not enough ventalation, driving it hard, and other stuff i cant think of right now.

i added a small fan to my sub amp.i doesnt shut down, but it does get warm.i'm running it at 2 ohms also.

it is also mounted near the port of my box so when its pounding away i get some air moving around it.

    it did help some.
