Question about wiring.

Ahh...those sets are like you said only "positive" and "negative"...NO right or left channels

Those are only there for ease of wiring...

Busted, wired each subs + to the + on the amp and likwise for the neg's

Internally these terminals are paralleled...so you can either use one set for both or use both...doesn't matter as long as the subs are paralleled

 

So......

If you have a mono amp with only a one + and one - going to 2 subs would you have positive to positive and negetive to negitive.

But I have encountered a new dilema

The subs have four connections each; a red one, a red with white dot, a black one and a black one with white dot

Looking at the manual I am ficken......and yes fricen is a word LOST

HELP

 

those are dual voice coil subs.do you know what impedance thet are? dual 4 ohm or dual 2 ohm or 8ohm?

 

They are 2 ohms

 

soo each voice coil is 2 ohms?

 

I thought this thread was dealing with busted 51?????????

It is a 2 ohm stable mono amp, therefore, with each of the 4 voice coils being 2 ohms each, you will need to series each speakers voice coil makin each sub essentially an 4 ohm speaker, then parallel the 2 subs together, this will yield a 2 ohm load to the amp, which is exactly what you want to do...........

OK i'll take a stabe at this -

Four terminals on sub
Red
Red/White
Black
Black/White

Connect Red and Black/White to negetive and positve leads respectivley
Connect Red/White and Black together

Do this on each sub

then connect the positvive on each sub together
then connect the negetive on each sub together

Then go to the amp?

Maybe?
