What ever you end up buying. You'll just want JL's later. I've gone through plenty of good brands, and I don't regret going the distance, but I do wish i just saved up a long time ago and got the best. Now I'm running one ten inch w7 in a H.O. box and 500/1 amp. Couldn't be happier. Well. I could, but I don't need anymore bass than that.

 

Lol..JL IS nice...but some people want something different...instead of hey lets get what everyone else wants and has

Sony sucks IMO. I like my Pioneer in-dash and RF amp and sub very well. had it for over a year and no problems at all.

they were good dont get me wrong but their recent crap is just that crap. overproduced overpriced and poorly supplied. Great for best buy though

Have you had bad expierences with it. If so what. please don't tell me p1's or lower end stuff. Best buy i don't even think they carry the power series. Have you ever had a "Best Buy" install before?^_^

 

aznboi3644 - you're right. I'm into sound quality, So I like JL. I'm new to JL and so far. I love all their stuff. But I've also heard all kinds of brands and I just don't see the point in buying anything other than JL. I mean Alpine doesn't hit as hard, Infinity is just as clear but doesn't have the top end of a JL sub, Kicker is about the dirtest sub i've ever heard. I had two comp vr's in my car for about a week and I heard more sub noise than bass. It drove me crazy. MTX is good, but I don't think it's worth the money they like to charge. Plus,. I've been around.. and not many people have JL. At least not the better JL subs. oo. but I did hear memphis subs at a db concest.. and ****>. were they loud as hell. 2 15's were louder than 13w7's, but still not as clear and responsive.. hell I've seen a guy come into the shop one day with 12 12's in his suburban.. all pioneer premeirs. And they sounded just as loud as my friend's 2 13w7's.. and the suburban was pushing more RMS Watts. Idk, Long story short.. I've learn to like JL. lol

 

Well...you can't really expect to show up to a DB contest and hear some sound quality shyt at over 150 decibles...lol

But yes...the only Kicker I'll ever buy is the L7's...MTX...very pricey for what you get...I like JL....still trying to find the TS params for the old school 12 w6 I have laying around...the JL site only has like 4 parameters and thats not enough for WinISD

 

Just what exactly has been your bad experience with RF? I have never had any problems with their amps or subs.

 

i've never had a problem with any of thier amps. i once abused a pair of p1's. tryed to make them into something they wasn't. love 4 p3's though bout to build ported box for them. got some of the older amps. they still run perfect. the new bd amps are made tough.

 

I think they make pretty good amps, and my sub is holding up so far {1 year}.

 

I shoot them.....no, not kidding. did it once already. sonuvabitch was tryin to steal the generator out of the back of my truck. He still has a funny limp to this day i hear....

 

How about you make the sh!t so heavy and awkward that its nearly impossible to steal...or hell build a really big box but cut down the internal air space with a helluva lot of MDF bracing so it weighs about 200 pounds...lets see em steal that bitch...and mount it securely to the floor
