Do you really have 10 grand to spend on two 13w7's and two 1000/1 and then have to build a custom box because it will have to be custom fitted in your trunk. Vented or sealed?

    I think you'll do just fine with one 12w7 and a 1000/1

I would look for some old orion 2250 sx's if you have the cash, one of those on each voice coil would make that sub beg for mercy!!!!! Or, a single old 2100 hcca, again, the sub would know its limits!

dam me and my old school BS!!! but its true!

If you are gunna go with a serious system, you need to do several things. Batteries are important, but the alternator is even more so. Get the largest most powerful alternator that will fit/you can afford for your car. DONT waste your cash on a phucking cap.......they are only good for one thing, and thats plugginhg into the wall and watching them exp0lode!

As far as battereis, one large battery with the highest reserve power you can find, not CCA!!!!!! or 2 batteries, but no more than that.

Like Viking said...the alternator supplies ALL current demands while CAR IS RUNNING...battery is only a filter.

Get the fuking biggest baddest high output alternator you can get...don't skimp on this...if you're gonna get two 13W7's than you better buy a fuking 300 amp alternator

OK, alternator= charging thingy under the hood of your car that makes electrcity that charges your battery and runs your cars electrical system, like its lights, radio, wipers, etc...

so a 300 amp alternator is enough for the two 13w7

so i need a 300 amp alternator to handle the power of the subs & amps

Am I the only one that thinks this guy is ****ing with us?

Eh well a friend of mine has two 13w7's running off two 1000/1 amps, and a kenetics battery. Stock alt. Ford Escort. Works just fine, His lights don't even dim. Either way, it's your money. If it really is your money...

I was thinking the same thing

Anyway if you do go with 2 13W7's you should use the 1000/1 JL amp as the impedance of the 13W7 was made to match the 1000/1's capabilities. I had one of each in my WRX. The shop owner (friend that I worked with years ago) who sold me the pieces also explained to me that with a JL amp driving the 13/W7 it would not void the warranty that they had.

As to needing 2 of them I don't see how? Just one with 1000 watts in sealed box is obscene

why would you want 2 13w7's? or even 2 solo x 12's? are you gonna be competing in comps? because you will spend a lot of money on reinforcing door panels and if you are going for sound quality, A lot of dampning material. like they said, 2000wrms from 2 1000/1's would draw more twice as much amperage as your alt could supply. well its your money. good luck.

wait i dont mean to sound rude
but your lookin to install that much power
and you obviously know something about audio (i hope and your not just going off popular names)
and you DONT know what an alternator is...
    also called a generator....
thingy that gives car power after the car is started...
car uses battery to start car alt/gen to continue to power it while running...

lol...damn...this is funny...but seriously...to save some money two 500/1 will push those no problem...remember that double the power is a net gain of 3 db...to you...probably not noticeable
