    Ok,

So I've been getting into installing car audio here lately, decided to make myself a nice system to show off to get some business coming into me, I'm building fiberglass boxes and installing stuff... Anyways, to the point, I have (2) 12" Alpine X-Types, (2) Alpine MRD-1005 Amps, an Alpine MRP-F450 4 Channel amp for my door speakers and 6x9's. I just installed 0 Guage Stinger Wiring Kit, and I have a Stinger HPM 1 Farad Capacitor. My question is, I'm debating on buying a new alternator, or.. could I just buy 1 or 2 optima deep cell batteries and run them to my system then would it be just as good. I'm looking for a cheaper route to run the system. As of right now my battery will not power 1 sub and 1 amp, I keep getting the "CUR" error message on the amp once I turn the volume past 11. I have an Alpine 7998 Cd Player. Any help would be great!! Thanks!

Adding additional batteries won't help much if you have a current problem while the car is running...because the alternator supplies the power while the engine is running...adding extra batteries will let you play the system longer while the car is off.

First you need a new high output alternator...2 Optima Deep Cycles are expensive...so why not just get a new alternator

I figured as much, I just didn't know if I should buy a new like performance alternator thats basically made for audio, or just get one from a salvage yard that has more amps. Thanks for your input, im looking for anything right now.

Get a new high output alternator...and look at the output amp ratings at idle...some say like 200 amps...but that like 2000 rpm...
