ok guys for once i need help lol. as most of you know and its pretty obvious i have a 1997 Eldorado. I rewired it and everything because it had bose. recently i came across and am going to install a navi system from an 03 DTS deville, the problem is it needs bose. so im gonna have to revert to my old 4 bose mini amp, but id like to continue use of my aftermarket speaks, why, because they sound better. My front speaks are infinity kappa perfect 6.1s, and my rears are kicker 6x9 3 ways. if you havent figured it out by now, my problem is the bose system runs at 1 ohm and all my speakers are 4 ohms. if i use the speakers the way they are they SOUND much better than the bose drivers, however they do not get as loud as the bose due to the difference in ohms. Now i dont want an aftermarket navi, i like the factory look, a cleansweep would be nice but im a little tapped currently. so i ask you guys, is there any way to lower the ohms on my speaks, or am i going to have to get used to my windows no longer rattleing?

umm tear the speaker apart and wind down the vc....lol...jk

there's not a whole lot you can do with out changing speakers....but what ya could do is take the output from the "blows" amps, run them to a hi-lo converter and reamplify with your choice of amp....a little backwards, but it will work....

thats what i would do, use (2) 4 ohm full range drivers and wire them in parrellel on the blose amp. Ya, its only a 2 ohm load, but it should perform just fine. And its navigation after all, its not like you need 160dB to hear it! Just get creative in the mounting of the drivers under the dash, or behind vents, something like that..........

ok well maybe this then i remember seeing it somewhere but now i cannot locate it. im looking for a pac interface i believe, it plugs between the stock radio and the stock plug and gives you a set of rcas, much better quality then just getting a line speaker adapter. Does anyone know what im talking about, i cant seem to find it!

oh and viking any idea where i really could mount these additional speaks, its a 97 eldorado, i already have no room in the door because i had to make some placed to install my 6.5 perfects (i pulled the old bose speak pods out), under the dash theres no depth it has all wireing and ducts for the lower a/c...

would it be possible maybe to connect the left side speaks together and have 2 bose mini amps power 2 speakers/same for right or would this be a no no? im thinking of running a wire to connect both + and both - on the both same side speaks which would lower it to 2 ohms and have 2 100 watt mini amps pushing them...

    EDIT

this is what im looking for only i need it in the 32 pin version not 24
