i joined recently, becuase i have had my first car for a while and really want a hard hitting system. i grew up with around my uncle, who had 6 12" kickers in his car and have loved it every since. but i am on somewhat of a budget. i was thinkin about the pyle 1500 watt blue waves, but i know pyle isnt all that great. open for suggestions
Please stay away from pyles of sh*t...1500 watts is more like 300 watts in reality. Tell us your budget and what your looking for and we can set you up.
One Alpine Type R 15 inch sub- http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2534 One Kenwood KAC-9102D- http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14933 Just an idea...but this would be some seriously heavy bass if you install it in a custom large ported enclosure.
im going to build my own box. im going to take the back seats out of my extended cab silverado. and i would rather have at least two subs, because i enter my truck in a lot of shows, and some of them have competitions, which i could win easily with two pretty good 15s
ok anzboi. i had heard that the type r might have been a little overated, but after seeing a video of what they did to a truck, im convinced. im going to buy to of them, what kind of amp do i need? for around... maybe 200 dollars, since thats what ill have after buyin the subs
If your going to be looking on woofersetc check out the MB Quarts. they have 2 12 inch dual 4 ohm in a sealed box for 199. You could be runnning 4 very good quality 12 inch woofers probably for less than the 2 15 Alpines. More cone area = more bass. Just a thought, and you would not have to build your own box, just hook em up an pound away.
