I beleive scoshe (sp?) makes one that is available at walmart for uber cheap, but from what I read, it's neither accurate, nor reliable.

    called a decibel meter:)

I believe audiocontrol use to make an in dash unit. Don't know if they still do or not. Most that mount in the car aren't worth it :)

wow, let me try and remember here.....................................................

Orion made one that was very cool, iI cant rmember the model # of it however, that was 10 or so years ago however. (deq-30 ? maybe?)

what EXACTLY are you tryin to do, they can be used for many things actually, and the quality and price will make a difference in it. whaddya want to spend? Anything from walmart of radio shack can pretty much be counted on as junk as far as accuracy goes...........

that was a nice one, anz.. good episode, the unveiling of the jackhammer, but they put it in a pile of puke for a car. and that guy was about the biggest loser I've ever seen. I think he sold the car on ebay shortly afterwards. If I was west coast, I'd be coming after him for some of that money

AudioControl used to have a unit called the EPIC150. It could read dB up to 150, I don't know if it still available.

It was half DIN and could be mounted in dash. I installed one in a Honda once, go to the thread "tale of 2-1/2 Hondas. Its the unit under the DVD player. (orange Dash)
