I just bought one Audiobahn AWIS12P 12" Quad Voicecoil Competition Immortal Series Subwoofer. I do not know what amp i need to put on this sub. Any suggestions that are under 300 bucks would be helpful. I am probably going to get another sub when i get more money. So if i got a more powerful amp that i could use when i get the other one would help. Please give me suggestions. This is all goin in a four door 99 tahoe that i want to be heard from a mile away!

Dude you have a quad coil comp sub? That calls for an amp per voice coil.

Seriously, Competition Subs really need to be driven at RMS rating to perform at their best. If that sub is rated at 1000-watts and you drive it at 300 or 500 watts you are NOT doing it any justice.

Being heard from a mile away should be a good goal, but sub, amp and Enclosure will need to work well together. And Enclosure is 90-percent of sound.

Save your money and get a really large amp. You'll be glad you did.

As I said in your other posting check out the Hifonics Brutus Bxi 1606D it will be a little more than you want to spend, but if your goal is to be heard a block away, well its problably going to cost a little more than 3 bills. I think thats the best amp for your application and your cost, plus it will run in 1 ohm all day.
