I have found a few decent component sets for pretty cheap and I am in need of some help in deciding which to get. I really rely on yalls advice and opinions because I am just getting into car audio so anything you can tell me about them would help a lot. Thanks in advance! Mark
Inever heard any but the infinitys.... they were decent. Id like to hear the ultimates and the orions though.
Thanks for the reply man. Wow 3 votes  Well, I was leaning to the Orions anyway, but wanted to see what you guys though cause I know Infinity makes some good speakers too. Anyone else have a suggestion as far as the components that are listed? Mark
i am currently rocking some kappa 6.5 components and kappa 6x9 2 ways in the back. they sound great for a mid grade component and coaxial system paid like 350 for both. I currently deciding on going into competitions. If i do they are going by by for some nice cdt's, orions, jls, something better. Mike-
Depending on what you want to spend, look at Diamond Audio or Focal.....can get expensive but well worth it.....there are others, but they get CRAZY spensive.
What kind of money are you looking to spend ? I have personal experience with a lot of nice sounding component sets. Just give me a price range and I can offer you some suggestions to get the most bang for your buck. 90 % of the sound is installation. Best components in the world, in a sub par install. Will get whooped up on by cheaper components in a good install anyday of the week.
Don't know what size your looking for, but here's a pretty sexy deal on some 5 1/4's from madisound http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=2156275.3395&pid=2129

Yeah, but the vifa's will walk all over the mtx's. Vifa makes the drivers for alpines f1 status systems. These aren't the same drivers used, but they are close
off Ebay PG Xenon comps or Cadence CWM6 off Ebay or directly from Cadence website... You cannot go wrong with either one for about 80 bucks...
