I have an older zapco z300 fl series amp running about 1050 watts rms and 2200 peak. had 3 jl 12" w3's and after 2 weeks blew. i haven't had a stereo in awhile but have all the accessories etc.. amps except subwoofers so i want a good SQ system that will take the full power of this amp or close at a reasonable price. any ideas out there? was lookin into getting the memphis m3 12"s but not sure 2 or 3 or what 2 do. haven't been in2 stereos for awhile so i'm not sure who is makin good sq these days. will be in a daily driven 2000 taurus also.

Budget, Space Concerns, Have you figured out why the JL's blew so your knew ones dont? 3 subs dont "just blow" for no reason, and it is highly unlikly all 3 were defective at the same time.

Pretty much all the same players are making the Good SQ stuff, depending on your Budget ofcourse

    i hope it helps

yo whats up fellas im new to this place but i have done my research on many subs. i currently have a JL 13w1 that i run 400 rms through all day and has great sq and decent output. 189, but ive found them on ebay for 100 the main downside is the minimum sealed box requirments are 1.75 cubes and the slot ported is just over 3 cubes. i just bought a Pierce Audio Products WMD 10. these bad boys have nearly 3" p-p excursion and are hand built here in the usa. PAP has posted a bunch of their subs on ebay, the 10's are 200, 12's are 250, and 15's are 300. rated at 1000 wrms each. check em out they are sick and sound awesome. oh yeah a greAT setup is also up for sale, 2 12's in a custom ported box for 575, you cant go wrong. they are really nice people and will help you with any problems. www.pierceaudioproducts.com

Elemental Designs subwoofers are really great for SQ also. i live about 1 hour from their manufacturing facility in Iowa, and had them do a demo in my monte carlo with their 19ov.2 subwoofer (18" not in production yet) and it sounds incredible for the size it is, SUPER SQ from that sub... incredible for its size. their other ov.2 subwoofers are really great on SQ and can be used in nearly any application.

you cant beat the price for these subwoofers because they sell directly from the factory. there isnt any middleman bull**** to go through, for REALLY great subwoofers. look at their website and read the magazine reviews they have had in many top car audio magazines, not one bad comment about them.

they also have videos on thier website (www.elementaldesigns.com) of the excursion of their subwoofers and its insane for the price...

dont think that im just trying to say their the best altogether, but they DEFINETLY on the same level as kappa perfects. and they're CHEAP!!!!!!!!!
