Hey all, this is my first post here but I've been around at teamamp back in the day, acoustic-visions, soundillusions, caraudio.com, and caraudioforum.com... What I've got right now is: Two shivas, bout 1.3 cf sealed each off of a JBL bp1200.1. Cadence Q4000 or 400 powering some crappy clarion components up front Pioneer DEH p3100 pretty old, pretty basic, but pretty solid HU Cadence 5 band EQ, don't remember the model number. My latest project was swapping my box in for a friend who just bought RE12's. From the short listening time I got, they sounded comparable to the Shivas. Good bang for the buck. Since I gave my box up, I'm going to build one for my brahma 12 that I've had sitting in my closet for about a year. Plans are a ported box at about 2.3cf after displacement tuned to 24hz with about 30sq inches of port area. Kind of similar to Sandt38's(I've read your review and thus the decision to try ported) but I'm going to try a little more port area. This will be just over 3cf total so I also am going to build a 1cf sealed box for more practical use. Once I get a new car I'm planning on adding Koda's and a new HU into the system. We'll see where it takes me from there HT I don't own a tv yet so I'm just sporting a cheap 2 channel JVC receiver and some cheap jensen 12" 3 way floorstanding speakers. The future looks like all Adire, can you say brand loyalty? But, that's my audio stuff, on to me.. I'm 21, doing a Masters in Information Systems Management and working part time for the university doing coldfusion and database work. That's all I feel like typing for now, I'm excited to unleash this brahma finally!
Looks like a plan man. I think the B12 ported would blow your mind  Brand Loyalty? My Adire reviews My Mains Home sub review. Sub pics.
Trust me, I know about your Adire loyalty, I wish I had the funding to do the same... I'm looking forward to the brahma!
Wow! Is that even older than mine? I got mine probably 4-5 years ago... I had a little service work on it the first year but since it's been solid as anything. I'm definitely going to step up to MP3 with a few more features and outputs and goodies on my next one but this one will never go away, I'll put it in my dad's boat if I have to :gunsmilie: There are some crazy smiles on this forum, what's wrong with you people? :robot: :starwars:
yep, i got you beat by a year, 2 of the channels on the amp on mine are fried, but i have a seperate amp for my speakers anyway so it doesn't matter much... other than that it still sounds great... i'll probably be getting an eclipse this summer though, their TOTL single CD player... CD8454
