im thinking about buying a brahma one 15MK1 or a 12MK2, is it as good in comparison to the 15MK2? I am going to be running a PG Xenon 1200.1 amp is that enough power? i also need some recomendations for a box (ported "not to big")
The differances in the later model MKIs compared to the MKIIs are very minor. As far as small ported, you woln't really get a good small ported box for the 15s. The 12s need under 2 feet ported though, and they like a nice low tune.
Do you want sound quality or output. Also, how much space do you have to work with. I'd be glad to help.
if you know the car i have a "1987 cadillac brougham" the trunk is pretty wide, but not that tall. i was thinking something around 3cf if that would be enough in a ported box. i am going for a SQ/SPL setup, trying to find a median where i can get both.
i just got the brahma 15MK1 and hooked it up to my 1200watt amp... all i can say is daaaam, its a killer sub. something that can finally really get through the thick leather and metal of my 87 caddy :jawdrop:
still need some help with a ported boX at about 3cf and tuned to about 30h. i have it in a 5cf ported boX costom made to fit into the back seat of a toyota corolla. sounds good on certain base lines, but i want to hear it slam on all kinds of music
