Ok, you guys finally got your way. Dan decided to take your opinions into account about our site. He's kept the user friendliness, but spiced it up a bit. I hope you guys enjoy the new site.

Beautiful..... Everything seems much more accessible and easy to find now!

Only bad comment - it's good that it's geared towards 800x600 screens but it makes it frustrating for ppl with higher resolutions because it doesn't scale up... oh well... :D

Sweet. A LOT of people do not like iframes though. I personally like them and have used them similarly in the past.

Might I suggest a slightly smaller font so everything isnt so crammed on 1024x768.

    Steven,

I know we just spoke on the phone about it, but I wanted to publicly say I like it much better. It looks more complete.

Similarly I don't like frames much, but it is still 100% better than the last site.

    Give Danno 2 thumbs up.

Why do people complain about frames? I never understood it. Please explain.

    Thanks for the props guys.

I don't know if anyone noticed, but on the "OEM Services-electonics" there is a picture of the new amp we are developing (the one on the heat-sink). It gives you a better idea of how small it is, especially for a kilowatt of power.

Frames typically are said to suck for many reasons, fugyaself.
Two that I usually complain about (but work around):

    1) Scalability. If a web page was designed to work properly on one screen resolution, text might overflow, or elements might render improperly if viewed at a lower, or possibly higher resolution.
Also, accessibility for handicapped and impaired users - if they are running a scaled-up font size on their browser, things will be shifted everywhere.

    2) Linkability. "Hey, I found this great thing on the Adire website! Here, let me get you the link to it!"
"...oh wait, that URL is the same, no matter where I am on the website."
This is confusing to many people. Frames are now rendering inside other frames, while the URL in the browser stays constant.
The only way to really link your friends to the website, is to shift-click a link, to launch the target into a new window, and then give them that link... but now they are not in the framed website, so they can't navigate around, if they desired to. And if they went back to the main site, could they find their way to the page you linked them to?
    Tough stuff.

    Anyway....
Stephen, give Dan props on the new site!
Frames or not (I personally avoid frames), it looks very professional now, and is easy to navigate, and renders correctly on 800x600 where the old site didn't! B)
