Got back from out of town on Thursday and my 860mp was sitting in the house on the office desk. :D I redone the wiring to the amp and put it in yesterday. I really haven't had much time to play around with it just a whole lot yet but, as for now all I can tell you is that it's great! Compared to the 7897, the 860 has the edge so far. Maybe its because I've been without tunes for about 3 weeks but everything sounds better, the comps, the sub, the overall staging. I'll know more once I really get time to play. ;)

Do you know if it has that nifty feature where it says the name of the song being played on the radio?

Civic- man I hadn't even had the tuner on yet. Popped in a disc and began doing just a basic setup. I'll look and see when I get a chance. I do know that the mp3 load time is quick.

I'm assuming you saw my review on CAP Seth?

I'm definitely digging the unit. Would I say it's "better" than an Alpine? I don't know; both have a LOT of features. TA is weird on the Pioneers, and the manual isn' the most helpful thing. I need to spend some more time with it.

The overall functionality of unit is OUTSTANDING...while I don't like the remote on it as much as an Alpine, you can do more with the Pioneer remote. Plus, the MP3 searching kicks ass!!

If you want more, I can post my full review on here. It's pretty long.
