I'm actually just heading on out to check. I had to wait till 9 for them to be open, so I borrowed a computer at Adire till then.

BTW, you were right about my car. It didn't have as much power, but I got just over 30 miles per gallon on the way up here. That was awesome.

You definitely don't "need" two sets...
In fact, it's likely to cause some pretty poor imaging, even cancellations due to pathlength-related phasing issues.

I'd suggest just getting one set... leaving the rears stock and fading them nearly completely out.. they should be essentially inaudible... and at that level (ambiance) you won't be taxing them, their SQ won't be an issue...
And that's only if you don't wish to fade them out completely, or simply remove them.

If your front stage has been properly planned and installed, you honestly generally don't want rear speakers.

I've written a little article, to explain the issues "to the layman" about why this is the case:
    http://www.betteraudio.com/geolemon/phasin...ing/phasing.htm

Give it a read.. I think you'll be glad to find that you can cut your budget for speakers in half.
...well, I'd reallocate some of those funds to making sure that your front speaker install truly is superior. ;)
