I got home about 10 minutes ago and decided I would tell you hont low it went down. I was driving down route 18 going about 45 in a 45 with slight drizzle. Infront me is is a Tauras Station Wagon whose driver was apparently not paying too much attention to his own lane while trying to look over his shoulder to see if the middle lane was open. He ended up smashing into the Corolla, which ended up smashing into an RSX that was infront of the Corolla. When I saw the Taurus' breaklights go on, I began breaking but when I heard it hit the Corolla I began to break harder because I knew that I would need to stop quick. My civic, of course, was not slowing down fast enough and I tried to swerve into the middle lane but it was blocked off by an suv, which passed me about 1 second too late. When it passed, I immediately swerved into the middle lane but in the process took out the front left side of the car on the back right side of his bumper! Half of my bumper is gone, my headlight is gone, the fender is gone, the antifreeze tank is gone, other things inside the engine compartment are gone. My car def had the most damage and I feel like shit because I think that if I just hit him straight the damaghed would have been minimized. And now my car is in some shady towing shop and is probably going to get my stereo stolen, my subs stolen, my amp stolen........ Life sucks! And I was seriously like 3 car lenghts behind but this POS civic skids pretty bad on moist ground
Unfortunately, my dad needs to save money on everything so I had no choice but to go with the cheapest shit food stamps could buy. I told him I needed bigger and better tires b/c in rain and snow the car cant slow down for shit, or accelerate as a matter of fact.
Definitely good to hear you are ok. But man does that suck. I definitely hope that your not considered at fault in this, and I hope you get your car back in good shape, with stereo intact. If it makes you feel any better, 2 years ago Easter my brother in law had a pedestrian step out in front of him and he hit him. They guy flew up over the cab of the truck and landed in the bed, killing him. It was ruled that my brother in law couldn't have done anything to prevent it, but it still shook him up a lot.
tires are not he problem ITS A HONDA lol now if your had a GOOD Car or truck your could have just rammed right through them
bummer join the club, I totaled my car about a month ago... still in the works on getting a new one. Thankful that everybody lived... and on a side note all the stereo equipment survived aside from the front speakers. Good thing you're OK. Get any quotes for repair costs yet?
