Is this happening to any of you? Sorry to invade caraudiotalk....it seems I only come here when CAF don't work....ill try to be here more often
I hope not. I have a long FS thread there, lol.
I was being an arse. Prob just temp maintenance.
I miss CAF too. I still frequent this board also, but I miss my gainclone thread on the Home Theater section of CAF..... Hmm, anyone here know much about opamp chips?
CAF has apparently been down all day, huh? Well, after it's "fresh coat of paint", I'd expect it'll be up again soon. w00t... Have you been to the DIYaudio.com forums?
hehe mike...maybe if this board had a good HT following and section... but it doesn't really it's a car audio board, and a good one at that. and as far as DIYAudio.com goes...eh, still a lil too over my head at the moment. not familiar with all part numbers, and that's all they use. and i'm not an experct at reading circuits, and they design some pretty complex ones. the discussions at CAF were more my level, working my way up. i don't want to look at a circuit with all kinds of protection and mute and crap, i just want to know how to make an opamp, maybe parallel two...eh... w00t!
I have a WHOLE SITE for that http://www.homeaudiotalk.com Your login from here works there and I will be adding to it
i hope it has nothing to do with the contraversy i started on RAC if it does, i apoligize...i didn't mean to drag everyone into that mess
what did you do???????
it's back http://www.caraudioforum.com/showthread.ph...threadid=178459 and the rest you can find on rac :bag:
geo, you suppose to keep member HERE
lol.... Hey, I'm all for starting up a DIY "gainclone" chip-amp and power supply technical thread on this forum too! ...but we've already got one going in the technical section of CAF... and it still "feels weird" to me - since these are supposed to be car audio forums, right? You familiar with gainclones, Michael? If you aren't... Supposedly, they are essentially ultra-SQ home amps - stuff to rival the SQ of $20,000 esoteric monoblock tube amp exotica - except... ...that even if you use the "exotic" parts for your chip amp, it still only costs you about $50 for all the parts. Cool, isn't it? B) I'm building one for myself, to see if it's really true! btw, they are lower power amps... generally in the 25-75w/channel range, depending on how much rail voltage you feed it with your power supply.
