How to place question

Folks,

I have collected auto stero stuff over the last year or so but I don't know how to place some of it. Can I post a question about how many speakers to use and location ? ..my last placement of custom stuff was, I think, 1979 so I am really rusty.

OK.

I have a 150 or 200 watt amp to run a 10.5 sub woofer in a ported box in the trunk.

I have a brand name, quality 900 watt amp 2 run:

2 tweets (with crossovers ) in the dash
2 5 inch tri axles in the kick panels

For the back, I want to build a speaker box that fits on the back shelf..not sure to partition and port it. I will kant it at a 30 or 40 % angle.

In this box, I want to install:

2 6X9 tri axles
2 tweet horns (with crossovers)

and I have a spare 8 inch sub woof that I would like to install in the middle run off the other amp.

I have the heavy duty wiring with fuses to power the two amps.

This will be installed in my kid's MOPAR muscle car...so there will be interior noise

It is a rust free '75 Duster with 33k miles on it. WE are replacing all the drivetrain, interior and seats. Do I have too much bass in the back or should I dump the tweeter Hornes..???

BTW, this is for my kids who want to wreck their hearing and not for the old deaf guy

Holy crumbs !! That car is sw-eeeeet.

We have a crate 360 with a bit lumpier bump stick going into it..we want to be able to drive past gas stations..we are paying just under 5 bucks a gallon here...and this is for my kids..not me <RBG>

Where did yiu find that kick pannel with room for 2 speakers ?

I was thinking I may have too much tweet and I am not sure if the smalle sub bace in the cockpit will compete with the one in the trunk.

 

I tried to build but they took a lot of body filler..not sure if I will be able to install..tey are quite heavy..I followed the step by step from a vid on youtube. How did you go from 2 to 3 ?

OK,

I started by building a structure. The I stratched cloth over it. I then saturated it with resin. Then I put fiberglass over it and saturated it . I then smoothed it out with body filler.

Mistake not having the cloth tight enough around it so I wouln't need the body filer.

So my mistake was the body filler. DRats.

Will do. I bought the duster as an inducement for my kids to retire from MX. Unfortunately, the car is a /6...on the postitive side, it hase no rust and it was a failed project (retired Chrysler mechanic)so some upgrade parts went with the car and I have been collecting others for a year now. I am going to flip it up on it's side so we can wire wheel it / epoxy and paint. It doesn't have rust now and I don't want it to rot now.

H8glasswerk, how can I contact you ? Perhaps I am too new to this board to have PM rights ?
