what is in your oppinion the cheapest sub to put up high number's? i want to do a sub or 2 to put up some high number's with very little cash..........dont worry about an amp as i have a good amount of power! i just need to know the cheapest sub that produces good numbers!
I'm not so sure on #'s,but I have an older Cerwin Vega 15 that got pretty loud on low power. It's a single 4 ohm 500 watt rms sub with 96db efficiency.I bought it from my neighbor who bought it from his friend. His friend had 4 of these in a cavalier and was hitting in the 150's in '97.I was told that he placed 2nd in the state when he did this, but I'm not for sure.Buy the way,I would sell the sub if your interested. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_301_Cerwin-Vega-Vega-154-15-VEGA-Series.html
tommy hit it on the head...look for a sub with very high sensitivity. Lots of cone area. And likes a vented or bandpass enclosure.
If you build the box the american bass XD 8" is a bad sub. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1_F1xXRhTA&playnext=1&list=PL809704FE4965F042 $75 each lmk
well i dont see 1 or 2 8's putting up the number's i want. now 2 15's thats a different story in which i think i am getting 2 planet audio torq 15's!
two atomis 8s from a shop down the road from me http://www.youtube.com/user/maheinicke#p/u/6/kGq9d_B6-Bc
Just like a drag car...there is no replacement for displacement...Its how you use that availible driver... Done a single 6 in a bandpass...sounded like a 15....but not as loud... Heck a single flea market 15 will tear your face off in the right box......although not for very long! I woulod look at some NON high end or UN popular choices....Do some digging at parts express....you might be amazed at what you find....lots of hidden little secrets if you look at the specs on the drivers, take your time....
not big on 8's man! i use 8's in sq installs, i use 15's and 18's for spl. when i owned my shop i did alot of 12's and 15's and sometimes an 18. my biggest question is u guy's are familiar with the new stuff and i havent been doing audio for about 3 years. so i wanted to know what the good budget freindly spl subs would be. as for size and all that your awnsering the questions i already know lol, not that i dont appreciate the input but i realy want to know what u guys think is a good budget freindly spl driver!
ah u sir are barking up the right tree hahahaha! u hit it right where i wanted it! when you are talking about ability to get loud with crappy sub's i know what you are talking about i made a pulse 15 which is like thump but worse hit like a maniac in a 8 cubed ported enclosure. im gonna check out that site ill update ya when im done
here is what im looking at getting with the coupon they would be 107 shipped for the pair or i can get 2 lanzar max pro 15's for 97 shipped http://www.vminnovations.com/product_5804/Planet_AudioTQ150DVC_15_Inch_1200W_Subwoofers_Pair_.html
I looked at the Lanzar max pro and when I held it in my hand I was disappointed.I had RF P2 10's that each sub weighed more and felt better built than those.I would give the Planet Audio's a try.
just a little updat i was about an hour too late on picking them up lol they sold out of the pa torq's but i am looking at a 18" rd alpha i figure i should be able to pull some good numbers out of one!
thanks! ill be ordering from u guys soon but ive decided on all audiopipe, im gett=ing 2 15" ap txxbf 15's and 2 audiopipe 1500.1's! realy like the reveiws on them! and i have heard nothing but good stuff from about u guy's! but i do have a question since u guy's are a good company i may be able to get your name spred around oregon as i travel and compete in this area, if u were interested i could sport your sticker after i get my products from u, if ur interested pm me! thanks
