right now i have two 10inch re audio sx, rd audio 1750.1. im going to sale them but im getting a avalanche and want to put some bump in there more for SQ. im looking to spend around 6-700$ and wanting to use one sub most likely. hit me up with some ideas. and they are going to go behind the seat not under
http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=66663&highlight=focal and http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_22&products_id=44 There are Nine.1s all over the net for around 200 shipped. I just sold one for 190 shipped. Or you could use the 13Av.2. It is more for SQ than SPL. Don't let the looks fool you. It has weak spiders. If you throw a whole lot of power to it, they will rip. You could safely use a Nine.1 though I am sure. Dave at PSI has reconed some and then they are some sick subs. Loud, low, and great sounding after Dave does his magic. Here is another great SQ sub from what I have heard around the forums. http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=65108&highlight=image+dynamics This is all from what I have read on the forums man. No first hand experience with SQ as I am more of a SPL guy. haha
well i just got a amp for really cheap its a rockford forgate t-500 got it off my buddy for 50$ and im thinking about getting 2 jl audio w3 10's i can also get those of another buddy for around 200 now i just need a box. if yal know anyone who can make me a box for a good price that would be really helpful...and thanks for yalls opinion on things. one more question are those image dynamic subs would they be better than getting those jl's?
I, myself, hate the JL bandwagon. I would assume they are for sure. I think JL is all hype and they really arent worth it. I hnow a guy that is ditching the SPL scene and going the SQ route with 4 of those IDs. He says they are one of the best.
i knew someone would say that i mean the only reason why i want to get them jl's is cause they are pretty cheap right now but if you can find me 1 of the ID's for under 200 id probabley buy it. but do u thin that amp i got will push it enough?
wht are you getting rid of the sx's? i have an older 12 spoke 12" sx on 900 watts and it sounds great on music. your 2 10's on that RD amp should be fine. tho more power the better. it's called headroom. you can set the gain low for zero noise,IF its installed properly. ive met guys with SQ systems with tons of power. 200 watts per speaker power. even on tweets! as long as the gain is set right with no clipped signal or output and you'll be fine. no need to go and spend money on subs and an amp if you already have them. the sound from the subs is all about the enclosure its in.
i just dont want to have to upgrade my eletrical system by putting my battery in there. so im just going to get a new system and still have some money left over
ok i can understand that, but the subs should be fine. even with one if need be. i went from 2 12's to one. still sounds good to me.
cause no one is really going to buy just on of my subs around here...and im trying to get some extra cash also.
What kind of enclosure they in? I there not in a sealed box try a sealed box that would cut down the output and gain a better frequency spectrum I don't even think the sx was geared really towards spl thats what the re mt was. Image dynamics goe for around the same price as the re sx does depending the model.
well the rms on the sx are 1000 to 2000rms and just looking for something not that much power and stuff and i dont want to have to use my rd 1750.1 cause im saling that. i just want to try some new stuff
The thing is selling them You won't get enough to buy a great sq sub But I heard a sub that alot of people are saying are great for sound quality there only 600 watts rms there called sundown audio sa series there affordable they sell em all over I had someone try to sell me a 15 the other day for 200 for the sub 70 for a custom box heres the links http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/products/subwoofers/sa-series-12.html http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.brands&category_id=23&brand_ID=134
so u think one of those would be better than a IDQ? one of my buddies said he can get a IDQ 12 for around 230. or which one would be better for SQ but some bump
The SA series is used to compete. Not really a SQ sub, but not a bad sounding sub. The IDQ would prolly sound better though.
you don't really need to give it ALL the rms power its rated for, but if your wanting some money out of the deal too then i understand that also. my point is that your 10's in the proper enclosure on even 500 to 600 watts can sound really good. ok maybe the 1750 IS a lot of power, even tho i know they should be able to handle it ( the older ones will, not sure if you have the new or older models) all you would need after selling your amp is a decent 4ch and some decent comps. JBL, polk and infinity make some nice sounding inexpensive speakers. i have polk and infinity in my truck, and i know an SQ guy with all JBL stuff. but in the end the choice IS yours. good luck.
thanks man ik what u mean... but the door speackers and stuff in the avalanche are the boss are they are pretty good
