What do we know about this HU. My son just ordered one. He felt left out, both me and my wife have bluetooth in our cars.

    He wants bluetooth also.

Only complaint i can find is the button layout is a bit hard to get use to, other then something silly like that, it performs well according to reviews, hope he enjoys!. Now i feel left out =\

I get to install it. I had Kenwoods for year and never had a problem with one. I only hope that the quality is still there.

If it is, make sure you let us know! Ill be in the market soon as my pioneer 7800mp is starting to act a bit funny, from old age and some amateur soldering i guess

I'll do a quick opinion/review. It may be a few more days before he gets it. The Holidays (Thanksgiving ) always slows down shipping. So I figure it will be atleast Monday or Tuesday before we get it. He ordered it Friday night, so I'll bet it didn't ship until yesterday (monday).

Good stereo. I was considering this one but am leaning towards the Excelon x494. Similar features. The BT has 2 volt preouts and the Excelon has 4 volt preouts. He will be happy with it.

OK first, The KCA iP500 will not work with this unit. So no rear iPod hook up

This unit works well and out off the box, no adjustments made, it sounded better than the Pioneer. Now I made a few adjustments and it really does sound good

The menus are a little tricky but the directions are pretty good. So if you like to make adjustments every few seconds this is not the radio for you. Also the single line display could have been improved. It is hard to read in the sun light.

Ipod controls are pretty straight forward and easy to use.

Bluetooth pairing is a little tricky, but easier than the Pioneer and much easier than the Alpine. I also like the fact that the mic is built in, no extra mic and wire that needs installing. I just got the radio in about an hour ago, so this is just my first impression and I won't be the primary user
