I've been running 2 planet audio amps in my truck for about 2 years now. BB1350.1 and a BB175.4. I cooked my 2 diamond audio d3 12" woofers with the mono block a few months ago and had to upgrade. For the price of those planet audio amps, the power you get is well worth it. HIGHLY recomended for a budget build.

the planet audio amp is not even rated for 1ohm and it has one 25 amp fuse. my walmart pioneer had 2 30 amp fuses and its walmart stuff.i already have an amp that powers them just fine so im not gonna go buy this amp. i had some planet audio speakers and really wasnt that impressed with them. but might got a bad bunch idk. but heres the link i looked at for this planet audio amp. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_25318_Planet+Audio+AC1500.1M.html

Haven't delt with that particular amp before, i know mine has 3 or 4 25watt fuses and is rated for 1ohm. look into some of their older stuff if you want to go with pa

The PA amp you linked to shows it produces 1100W RMS @2ohm. Can anyone explain how exactly it produces this much output when it only has a single 25A fuse? It doesn't seem possible with this low of a current draw.

The fuses arnt that big of a deal..my alpine amp pushes much more power than your current amp and only has one 25 or 30 watt fuse i cant rem..but still only one. then my dual amp is much less and has a 30 wat fuse..my rubicon is much less has 2 30 watt fuses..the pyramid had one 25 wat fuse..

so explain to me why that is even a big deal? and really who cares about 1 ohm...and u asked what is good for a budget system and i showed you its as simple as that..not my fault your getting offended by it maybe you just pre-maturely bought your amp and are now regretting cheaper or not idc and dont care about the brand.. that amp IS better than yours..

ive done my research on planet audio its solid not top of the libne..but very solid then again who gets sony amps these days?...hmm about as many thaty get planet audio perhaps and i know no one that swears by sony the way ive found people swearing by planet audio (though i can explain this..maybe quality?)

I'm pretty sure it's impossible to produce 1100W RMS with a 25 amp current limit at 12V. That's why I asked how it was possible. That's why it's a big deal. ;)

Ohms law states V*A=W. So, 14.4 volts (car max. voltage) x 25 amps = 360 watts minus the efficiency of the amplifier.

who cares about 1ohm? i do cuz if you read i got 3 4ohm subs wired down that makes 1.3 ohm and im not gonna spend 100 dollars on a amp that will shut down because its not 1ohm stable. and the size of your fuse does have stuff to do with how much power you are making. im not for sure how but it does. see ive done my research maybe its time for you to do yours. even at 12 volts with 3 25 amp fuses thats close to 900 watts minus that amps effiecency. thats probally more than your alpine does.
