Ok i have to dual 4ohm subs on a 2 channel amp, i have them hooked up neg. to neg., pos. to pos. for a 2ohm load. Well when i connect one subwoofer to the amp, both of the subs turn on, how can that be if the subs are not connected together, is that normal or is something wrong?
i came up with a theory withing 2 minutes of posting this, lol. I dont think the 2nd sub turns on but could it just be the air pushing from the 1st sub making it look like the 2nd sub is on....lol
If you run them together to create ur 2 ohm load and then connect to your amp both will bump. U dont connect them each to the amp.
I think he's saying that only one is wired up to the amp, which would be a 2ohm load. I assume they're in a common, non-walled enclosure, so it makes sense that when one moves it moves the other one. Doesn't take a theory to figure that out lol
