I just bought a Pioneer MVH-P8200BT and it won't turn on.Connections are all good and I even tried my old Pioneer headunit and it won't turn on as well, It worked before??? I took some readings with the key at acc and the constant 12 volt supply wire was 4.5 v and the Ignition switch 12 volt supply wire was 12.5 v.This is installed in my 92 civic hatchback if that helps. Any help would be great.

    Thanks.

Maybe a stupid question, but did you check your ground? You can also try it directly hooked to the car's battery (ignition & constant 12V to positive terminal & ground it to the body or on the negative terminal) to see if it turns on. This will help you rule out HU vs. connection problems.

Check the fuses on your new and old Headunits as well. If there was a short taking them in and out, it may have blown the fuses on your recievers

It was the fuse under the hood 7.5 amp labeled backup lights, but I looked in the factory manual and the wiring diagram showed the radio blue white constant 12 v goes to the same fuse and ya the fuse was blown....so all is good now.Really like the new Pioneer MVH-P8200BT don't miss the cd player at all and the bluetooth works great!:D

    Thanks

The 4.5 volt reading on the memory should have been a clue.
