Hey guys, Ive got 2 MTX Terminator 12"s with a 760watt Pioneer Amplifier.
When I turn the volume up over 30 on my headunit the subwoofers just simply shut off. I can still hear the music through the stock speakers though.
It seems to me like theirs too much power running through too small of wires maybe? I just dont know thats why Im asking you guys.
Before I got the 760 amp I had a 500 watt and I could turn the volume WAY higher.
I dont know what wire would be too small though? my ground wire is pretty big and so's my 12volt wire.
But my little blue power wire is extremely small could that be it?
Also I dont know what size speaker wires I need. I have the speaker wire that came with the Terminator Kit.
If you have any suggestions please let me know =)

could be a number of things really your wire could be to small and causing the voltage to drop below a set amount, or most possible is your over driving your amp and its going into protect mode to stop the square wave from damaging your speakers, your amp may say its 700 watts but i bet if you put it on a dummy load and measured the output on a signal generator it wunt bhe much more than 150 watts

Its definitely not the tiny blue wire. That is simply your remote wire that tells the amp to power on/off with the HU. That current is minimal and doesn't change.

    Is the Amp new?
If not, It could be dying and asking it to work makes it shutdown.

If it is new, I'd be taking it back ;)

If you only paid $140 it probably is only 150w. If I were your speakers, that shutdown would be my best friend.
