I have an Alpine 7618 that I love to play my 8 cassettes through.
But I would like to use my Ipod as well I have already tried a cassette adapter but it took a crap and it looked scrappy.

So I was wondering if it was possible to convert the cd changer input to an Ipod input? I have the old cd changer that connects to it to use for parts if needed.

Let me know if any one has any ideas i'm pretty new to car audio etc need a point in the right direction.

that would be awesome if you could. i would think all you need to do is find the audio inputs.

just got a new idea. you can get an EQ with an AUX input and plug the ipod into the it.

I think Pedro's idea is better, cause the cd changer uses a cable something similar to an S video cable and the ipod uses USB, I have never seen a gender changer that would work, and i don't think the alpine would recognize the signal from the ipod

should be a snap really. rca outs from head to eq. then eq outs to amps.

Do I have to run two seperate power leads to the battery from the amp and the EQ? with two fuses?

wire it up like your head unit is wired. use the power lead from the fuse box that the head uses.
