I'm looking to improve my audio system in my car! i know it can get really expensive so I'm sticking with MTX subwoofers mostly. I've been looking on ebay for some subs and amps and i found a combo which works good. But my main question is i want to buy 2 6" two way speakers. Do i need a separate amp or can i just directly hook it up to the head unit? here is the links to all the information about the sub/amp/speaker. Hope to hear from you soon. SUB/AMP COMBO:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...item=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_4014wt_1165 2 WAY SPEAKERS http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOSS...917977QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVideo#ht_4407wt_1165 Like i said I'm trying to go the cheapest way possible, but i don't want it to be crap though.
if your asking if I would buy a prefab box; no i would not. But if you cant build one or cant afford to have a shop do the work then that will work. just not a big fan of thin mdf boxes.
what are the disadvantages of prefab boxes exactly? because i can build one, but i just thought that this is a little bit nicer looking as it would be my first time building one
because my budget is 300. I have a head unit already and have been looking on ebay and other websites and do you think it would be a good idea to get a kicker subwoofer/amp/box package deal?
the wood is too thin, they are not tuned to play lower bass in most music ( not just rap). im sure it will get loud, it wont satisfy most people looking for deep bass output. but mostly the thinness of the wood.
spend the money on a good sub and build a real good enclosure for it. it will blow away any prefab you will find at best but or where ever else.
