You guys talked me into building a new box, I decided to go with 3 12's, its pretty much built, just need to apply the carpet. So I was starting to run the wires through the box and how to wire the woofers. I didnt realize that you cant wire 3 dual 4 ohm woofers to 1 ohm, it comes to 2.5 ohms or something like that. So my question is will adding the 3rd woofer make up for the loss in amplifier power?? I will be staying with the Diamond Audio D3 1000.1. What if I turn the gain up a wee bit, the setting starts out at 6 o'clock and is set now at about 9 and it really pushes the 2 woofers hard. I think the amp is rated for around 700 in 2 ohms.

You can wire 3 dual 4ohm subs in parallel to 1.33 ohms.

Would that not give you around .66 ohms, 1.33 would be for 2 woofers? Am i not doing my math correctly

t would be .67 ohms. Just do it. That a p should be fine. Also box rise should take care of hat problem to you. You will me fine I'm pretty sure.

Ur right, 2 would be at 1 ohm, 4 would be at .5 ohm so 3 will be at .66 ohms parallel.
