Have Sony explodes 6x9's in rear deck now, but notice a definite frenquency drop off on songs with lower bass. Any recomendations on a 6x9 that can handle some sub bass sound?
You might have to have an amp run to em, but my friend has a pair of MTX 6x9s in his rear deck and they get LOW for 6x9s. Sounds almost like a single sub setup.
I understand not wanting a sub but still wanting good sound.. And with 6x9s in a car and sometimes a truck you don't have to worry about building a box and all that kinda stuff.. And, a 6x9 is usually alot cheaper for a great 6x9 that could sound good as a sub...
I agree, rear deck mounted 6x9's use the whole trunk as an enclosure and sound great. I'll try some mtx's. Thanks for the info.
maybe your trunk is not 100% seaed and your lossing low end output due to that. or maybe the speaker can not play that low. they act like an IB set up. same thing infact.
Thats what im thinking, not sure what the frenquency is on the sonys but the mtx's I just ordered are rated at 42 hz. We'll see!
Dude those 6x9's you are showing only have a upper range of 12000 htz, dont think it would hit the highs very good.
your crazy...when ever you are ready you can come test them out and you tell me if they dont hit hi's well my friend...im in queens 11435 liberty ave and the vanwyck expressway let me know...or if possible go to an audio store that has em and ask for a demo maybe
