There are so many things wrong with that statement I dunno where to start. But... Like I said. This is where arguements start. Like several stated, it's all in the build...

One more thing. Kicker is WAY over rated. Good subs, but not even close to the best...

My 5500 tens could kill the L7 in the right box, and the other way aound too...

9500 kill JLs, (and cost about 300 less) pretty sure they could take out L7s no prob...

and before I start gettin too crazy, I'm gonna stop. This is why I didn't ask what sub is better....

Oh and if the L7 is so much better, why does MTX have rights to the square sub design that all the L7s use? Hmmmmmmmm.... :)

    May 27, 2009 best 10 inch sub

Review written by pete from virginia
i have one 10 inch in a ported mtx box and it kicks so hard. i have a 4000 watt hifonics amp pushing it and it take it all and never cuts off best sub for your money. i got lucky and bought it when it first came out with the box for $400 now the price is just crazy. but its well worth it. trust me i have a 12 w7 in another car and this makes your ears bang!
July 30, 2008 The best sub i have ever owned
Review written by Matthew from Glendale, AZ
This sub is well worth the money. I have owned countless subs and this is definetly my favorite. One of these 10 ten woofers is plenty loud for me. Just as loud as any of the two tens I have previously owned. And the best part is I still have trunk space!!

    July 19, 2006 Amazing
Review written by Matt from Lafayette, CA
A buddy of mine has one of these in his chevy tahoe and has it hooked up to an mtx amp which is in a sealed box. This thing is so dang loud. I heard him drive by me when I was out to lunch and it shook the table and all the silverware from about 100 feet away. Be careful, deep bass that can be heard from 5 blocks away could land a ticket.

April 13, 2006 Expensive, great sound, nedd a big ass amp!!

I had three of this babies (I kept 1) in a sealed enclosure, pushed by JLaudio 1000/1 and it was too much bass. SQ is not bad, but it delivers plenty of boom!!! I kept one that is been pushed by a kenwood mono (600 rms) and this sub can take more power... if you like SPL I recommend this sub..

The JL W7 i believe should not be compare to anything is this post. The W7 is built to be used as an SQ sub and a low end monster. IIRC! I dont support JL. Its all a name and is wayyy overpriced. Great stuff, but for the price, it aint worth it. I am all about getting my money's worth and I believe there is fall better things for $700. Lets see...

I can get 24 of these for a little over $600 and i guarantee it would be louder, in the right box and with the right power.

Yet this is completely unrealistic in a daily driver but it kinda proves a point.

What I say is that WITHIN YOUR BUDGET I think the SA-12 or the IA is better IN YOUR APPLICATION. Im not saying the 9500 is a bad sub. I am saying that it is far overpriced for what you get IMO. Im not trying to argue at all with anyone about anything; Im just stating my opinion.

Yeah you can get 24 of those and take up all your space and have to run crazy ass wire and build a funky ass box and all kinda ****.. That's another reason those subs are so high.. alot of power and output without the hassle of... lets see.. buying 24 cheap subs, buying a **** ton of wood (if you do it yourself.. no tellin what it's cost to send it out) and a **** ton of wire... You like to get your moneys worth, and I believe you get what you pay for... I'd never waste time on ordering a 30 dollar sub... But if it's your OPINION that it's "worth your money" to go cheap... Go for it. I jus like to shell out a lil more an be satisfied...

And I wasn't arguing either.. We jus like to get our point across apparently.. I feel were both more enlightened for readin each others rants.. Lol I think Ima hit up that Sundown.. It's WITHIN MY BUDGET... And sense my friend is gonna get my MTXs, I'll get to see first hand which I LIKE better... Not which IS better... Cause as we've seen... People got WAY different opinions..
