Hey guys.. Sellin my stuff.. I got a friend who wants it, 2 subs, 2 boxes, 200 dollars... Not bad, considering bought new they'd cost aroud 170.. a piece. Lol But.. Of coarse I'm not goin without my bass, so the day he hands me the money, I'm gettin a sub. Not 2, but one decent one. I'll get another later, but for now I want to get one good 10 or 12. Now I'm not asking what sub is best for 200, that's how arguments start.. But if you were in this position, what would you get? And I'll have to buy amp later and I'll jus match it to tha sub so wattage isn't a big factor either.. I'm willing to spend up to 250, which isn't too bad for one sub on an everyday system.. These are a few I was already lookin at: http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_...TX+VENDORID236&ssi=0&searchdisplay=MTX&tp=111 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13264_MTX+Audio+TR7510-22.html http://shop.mtx.com/p/l_126/MTX_Audio_Thunder_Round_Dual_12_4_Ohm_Subwoofer/listing.html http://shop.mtx.com/p/l_106/JackHammer_12_Single_4_Ohm_Subwoofer/listing.html They're all MTX, because I know they sound great.. But I'm open to all suggestions.. So what do you think?
im at school but this is what popped in my head right away. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/12"-Lethal-Injection-Series.html
Here are a few more that popped in my head. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/Sundown-Audio-SA%2d12.html https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficarau...Speakers/0040_SSD/product_overview.shopscript http://www.mach5audio.com/zen/index...id=186&zenid=51c3b7dce9b565ab6d2bb762ce732302
I straight forgot about Incriminator... I might have to check those out.. The only problem I have is I have no way to hear em before I buy.. But thanks man.. Anybody else?
I guarantee those will all beat harder and sound better than any MTX product. Not raggin on ya, but MTX has gone down hill since its earlier days.
ive heard them all, except the mach 5's, but i hear they sound great too. its all in the enclosure.... build it strong and SOLID and any of those subs will sound good.
Idk Jonny my 9500's with only 1 cu.ft each sealed make my winshield wipers jump only off of 600wts a piece and sound awesome.
Lol that's what I though but it's the windows and steering wheel too. It's pretty cool. Craigslist is great for finding decent deals
Exactly. Lol Every review of the 9500 and the JL w7 I've ever read 9 out of 10 times they say the 9500 killed the JL.. Jonny I dunno what MTX products you've heard but they couldn't be hooked up right or in a really crappy box or somethin.. I only have one 5500 ten hooked up right now on 200 or less watts and the side-view mirrors on my friends van shake Lol They might've went through a dry spell at one point but I think they've gotten their **** straight sense then... But I wanna branch out from them for a while, see what all is out there.. But I do plan on gettin my windshield wipers jumpin wit some 9500s as soon as I can lol
i had 4 12's on a nine.1 wired at .5ohm with no dimming of the lights and my wipers still didnt jump. It depends on the vehicle though guys. I have never personally owned MTX products but I have never heard them beatin out Sundown or Incriminator Audio products. In reality, its all in the box so who cares really. Anyone can make even a Sony Xplod sound loud and clean with extensive box designing and modeling.
Very true... So I guess Ima go with either the Sundown or Incriminator for now... What does everyone think?
better is a strong word to use. ive heard plenty of low budget set up's down and dirty at comps. its all in the install. each sub has its pro's and con's.
Also, you cannot actually compare the Sundown and the 9500.. it costs nearly $700! http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6802_MTX+Audio+T9510-04.html
