Sub crazy or am I crazy? Help out a first timer who just loves music!

    Close. Not a box, but two boxes, one 12 inch in each. (Assuming the 12"er only needs a 1-1.5 cubic foot box to breathe)

    Could I? Yes, but then I'd have to build a third, rather odd shaped and shallow, box at the rear of my trunk to hold it. For all the trouble it would be to add a third 10" sub, I now feel like I'd probably be better off just going with two 12"s.

    So, just an update guys, I ended up getting 2 12" alpine type x's and two pdx 1.1000 to power them. I actually got them off a friend of a friend who was selling his car and I just bought his sub system from him, so it worked out really well.

    What size wire do you have running your 4 channel amp? For all 3 you will for sure need 1 or 0 gauge wire. Look at knukonceptz, they have the best wire for pretty cheap.

    Right now I'm running it with 4 gauge wire. (I only have the 4ch amp in it right now)

    make sure you upgrade to at least 1 gauge before you install the bass amp.
