i believe general built something with these subs a while back. he said they killed lows but didnt sound too great on everything else
i would definitely choose kicker cvrs over those and box materials cost about 40 (wood, glue, screws, caulk) thats assuming that you have a jigsaw, circular saw or table saw (if not, you can get them to cut your wood at home depot)
The reason it hit lows and nothin else was cause the box was 5.3 ft3 at 31hz now if you tune it at 33 or 34, he would get a better mixture.
my 15 is tuned to 28HZ and sounds ok with music. my 8's are tuned to around the same.( i dont know exactly, cause the installer just modified the port on the fly) go figure. he just did it all in his head . anyways they sound great on all types of my music. rock to rap. they arent as loud but they sound so much better.
