Kicker vs JL Audio

Yeah but those amps could put out so much more power...I mean 500 watts 4 ohms means 1000 at 2 ohms and i dunno how much at 1.5 ohms.

But no...lets retrict the output at lower loads so the amp can put out same power between 1.5-4 ohms

 

if your speakers are 4 ohm speaks whats the point
you just waisted money
and most aftermarket speaks are 4 ohm speaks
i can count on my 1 hand the number of 2 ohm speaks
my usamps does 2000 at 1 ohm
its rated at 1000
does that make my US better than a JL
no THAT doesnt my US is just a better amp plain and simple

 

I mean if you have two subs that can be wired down for a final load of like 1 ohm...the amp WOULD put out a lot more power but its restricted to 500 still

 

ok i see your point,but those amps are proven to be power houses none the less.500 on my sub is just fine.75 per ch for the highs too.....is just fine.


i'm sure they did that with their amps so that someone liks EAZY(sorry dude)cant accidentally wire their subs too low.

also that one amp would cost more than 3 1000/1's and a 450/4

I just like the looks of those amps and they are from a good company...they look simple and elegant.

I mean if the 1000/1 can put out 1000 watts at 4 ohms...than in theory it could putout 2000 watts rms at 2 ohms and 4000 watts rms at 1 ohm...but it would need a pretty stout power supply and other crap that is inside an amp lol

 

yeah it looks nice but 2400 bucks.hell you can buy a really nice system for that.

still would take my us de-1000 over a jl 1000.1 anyday...

the Kicker L7's are gonna look better than the one JL W7. In a competition, i guess it depends on which amp ur gonna put on it.
