not sure yet. might use it in my moms car...im thinking my PG 5 way passive and an M50 in her car with a single 8 will sound good with just the stockers and adding some tweets up front.

i will let you know otherwise tho.

Well i got a lot more accomplished on the box tonite. It actually looks like a box. Now, i gotta fibergalss the dowel rods in, cut out the front baffle for the double baffle, then round over the corners. Heres some pics for yall.

Heres the first baffle cut out with the sub and port holes.

finally we're both getting a little progress lol. im sick of seeing the wood just laying there, but i've been so busy lately.

use one thats thick enough and predrill would be my guess, and lots of glue.

To put dowel rod in, i measure how long it needed to be to go on the inside from one side to the other, then predrilled the 2 sides that the dowel is holding then screw it in.

I used a jigsaw also, but when i do the second front baffle, im gona cut the holes out with a router so it will be a perfect hole for when i flush mount the subs.

i got a question. when you use 15's do you have to double baffle all the walls or just the front? looks like my next box will be about 8 cubes net.

Im doing double thickness on the top, the sides and the front. Im doing this because with 4 15s, i want it to be as strong as i can get it. I also put 5 pieces of dowel rod along with resin on the inside. I dont want this box to flex at all.

i would since you want the box to be as dead as possible.

i didnt in mine since i wasnt sending a ton of power to it. so my box didnt resonate as bad as it would if i had more power.

I would definitely do a double front baffle atleast and some internal bracing.

ok, thanks. I may just double baffle the whole thing to be on the safe side. How many sheets of MDF did you use up for your box lifted?

I think it was 2, almost 3 sheets for everything.
