16V or 18V system?

    Just wondering how do you get an 16V or even an 18V system in a car? What do you have to do to accomplish that?

    I was just reading about the IA40.1 amp...

    Pedro, maybe you could shed some light on this for me. you're around people with 16V set ups a lot...

    you need a 16v alt. and batts. it would have to be isolated from the cars electrical.

    they make 3 post batts just for that purpose.

    have you checked out that voltage module from missing link audio?? steve meade runs them and so do a lot of other ppl on the SMD forum to get higher voltage

    those only bump the voltage to 15.5 or so. well within the stock electrical systems limits.

    16 to 18v systems are mostly for big time competitors.
