To us here at CAT, its the only prefab box that's worthbuying. Pedro had one and he said he liked it.
personally, I would just build my own box and buy some good subs with the money you saved and know exactly what you are getting. Plus, then you can take more pride in the system!
ive never heard them with their brand in them, but im sure they sound great. like jonny said i used to have one for a kicker L5 10 inch sub and i liked it a lot. i just choose to go with more cone area and got my 8's. i only know of one place here that sells them. where can you get them?
sorry, I didn't know they were going under seats. Then, I would save myself the hassle and just buy the probox LOL
well when I talked to him he said it can be shipped here and I know that will be a ton of money just shipping. You said you know of a place locally that sells them? because we live in the same area.
Yeah I could deal with a regular square box but under a bench seat in the back of a truck is different. too many angles and cuts for me. but you said it sounds just as good with your own subs in there?
We used to sell Pro Box... they are distributed I believe exclusively through a huge distributor based in Pennsylvania, I met the owners/engineers of the company at a trade show at the distributor's facility. They are old school SPL guys who founded the company, and they invested in CNC routers... they've done some cool cosmetic treatments to the boxes with that stuff, but it also lets them do some pretty unique designs, mostly under-seat truck boxes - they cut up MDF in layers, and build stack boxes for some of those applications. Their boxes are definitely a little more SPL-oriented, and definitely are built well. No port noise from those guys.
Oh - and the ones we were selling used Earthquake flat-panel subs for the real low clearance, underseat truck boxes. I don't know if they still use those or if they designed their own... they were just about to come out with their own subs for some of those boxes when I ended my stay with the retail shop. But they worked pretty nicely.
