if the power is clean you dont need tons of power.

so anything in the 75~100 per ch will work fine. i know i run upwards of 600 watts up front, but i have 10 speakers to power. up there. thats an average of 60 per.

what was your budget again? and how many speakers do you want to power.

oh right this was for a sub amp.

ok for a budget sub amp. i have seen these in action and they can get loud.

power acoustik-mono amps and stereo amps

quantum- again, both mono and stereo

    crunch- both

    hifonics

    soundstream

    us amps

PG-rsd and most of the older models

the list goes on and on.......

im looking at spending no more then 1200 on everything.....
my buddy in Arizona is going to be building me 2 12s the parts are from the old TC sounds if im not wrong he said he will hit like none other so i think i will give it a try i just need a good amp....the price for him building the 12s will be about 400-500...not sure yet....
but that leaves me about 700 for a touch screen and an amp and maybe up grading my 5 g wire to a 2 g not sure yet tho

what do you think of these?
is this kinda what your talkin bout?

to keep a 4000 watt amp powered your gonna have to spend your 700 on multiple batts and wire.

maybe not all the 700 but close to it. you dont need 4000 watts for bass unless your planning on competing heavily. thats just my opinion. you can do as you wish of course.

but if it was me. for $700. i'd gor for closer to 1200-1500 on subs and 200~300 mids and highs.

ok this is an example. i like these for the money, and it looks cool too.

also the matching sub amp is cheap too. 160
