Your ****'s not low enough for me

It's dark, it's cold, it's windy... I don't have NEARLY enough power! 22 cubic feet tuned to 15Hz 8" sonotube port 2001 Pontiac Aztec. I have 3 of the Red Tops wired up, the IB3 18 is LAUGHING at the Lanzar OPTI2000D that is rated 1100 RMS @ 2ohm. When I try to give it more, then she gets ****ed cuz it clips to beat hell. :41 into the vid that is 7Hz!!! I can not describe what the 18Hz part is like, but you can hear below 20Hz if the output is high enough! I LOVE IT! More to come.

Keep in mind, most vids during the 18Hz tone are unloading but kept within limits via SSF, mine is just about at tuning... reducing excursion. I had all the doors all the way open because it wants more power, especially with the doors shut.

the 1st one with bass i love you showed from the port... about 1/2" flex in the center of the baffle/front board. I'm guessing the rest aren't as bad, because they are smaller panels.

 

I hate that. flex is just lost dB and annoying to outsiders. I had 5 gallons of Spectrum Sludge and 5 gallons of Firewall from SecondSkinAudio along with 800 lbs of wood, 50-60 cans of expanding foam, 13 cans of Bondo.... to PREVENT flex

I sold it a while back.

Meade got me motivated, here's Hustla Baller and Run Quickly. I had to open all the doors all the way, open the moon roof, and it still had room for more excursion and it still clipped and started to stink. I emailed Scott about a dual 1 recone since a 2500.1 doesn't look to be in the near future. But, while I was bangin, some dudes heard it and one came to take pics/vids along with me, said he was friends with a local shop and gave me his number and email.

I wish Meade could have hooked me up, at least he pointed me in the right direction though wink.gif

Oh, Bobbie (my new friend) asked "You mean the Jackhammer?" when I said " I'm gettn a 22". I laughed and said "no, a REAL 22", like that one... from Fi" biggrin.gif

Keep in mind when I say not low enough for me, it is at MY reference level, since I tuned down at 15Hz, I get a lot more excursion and less output at 30Hz, so overall I am not near as loud as any of you, but at MY level, I keep going all the way down where YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME! OK, those of you with 2 or more 18's are still louder than me down there, but I am looking at my FR curve, I'm not INSANE loud above 30Hz...
