I'm installing a system into a 95 integra hatch. Which box would recommend? sealed or ported? i'm trying to decide between 10" or 12" sub...i used to have dual 10" JL W3's in JL's HO box. I would like similar performance in a small package since the trunk the integ is smaller. I'll be powering the sub with JL's 500/1 mono amp.

to tell you the truth, everybody here likes ported boxes... WE have to know a few things.. First, what kind of music do you listen to? Second, what kind of space do you have for the box? can you give dimensions?

ported has the ability to get louder than a sealed box. if your into SQ then sealed. if you like to boom and have a lil SQ then ported should fit the bill.

the 10 would need a smaller box than the 12 would need. if that helps. if you really want a small box then maybe a few 8's back there will do. you can still get some B-stock 9kv.2's at sound dot for like 57$ each.

Not me. I like sealed boxes better. And for some reason I like 10's more than 12's. Ive listened to alot of different setups and thats what I personally like.

hey i like sealed boxes, if your shooting for sound quality!

But gunner it all depends if you want hard hitting knockout bass in a hatch back go with 12"s and a ported box, if you want some good hitting but solid sound, id say 10's in a sealed. (or 12s if you want alittle more punch and lows)
