A friend of mine is selling his JBL GTI's, he just used it for testing. they are brand new, he decided to switch to ciare instead. What do you think of these speakers? would they be a good replacement for my DLS? I'm thinking of bridging my NINe.4 to give them 150watts each and I need more powerful components cuz the DLS are a little underpowered for my subs. Comments? I can get them for about $140. should i do it and is it a good idea to bridge an amp for components? would the THD be a lot higher if i do it this way?
i know jbl makes great speakers. that is also a really good price. i say if you have the money to do it then go for it. that is kinda why i had to add a second set of mids up front in my truck. oh! just had a thought. maybe some kicks to add another mid to your front stage.
I've heard that the JBL are VERY power hungry and their mids tend to be a little muddy. I haven't heard them yet. I do like the idea of Kick Panels. I just don't know about how to make them. I have another friend that is that is selling some peerless 5.25". would that work well for in a kick panel? I can get the peerless really cheap, I've heard that they are really good speakers, what do you think? I know that I'm going to have to either add some speakers or go with a higher wattage speaker to get more mid and high.
