Ok, heres the deal, my da is now trusting me to put a new HU in the Vette. The only stipulation is that it must be a 1 1/2 din. I am having trouble finding one. The only ones I found were the Pioneer and the Pyle, and he doesn't like the Pioneer, and i would never let him have a Pyle of junk. lol So, if you guys could, please give me some recomendations. Oh, and like you did CC, how do i fit a 1/2 din EQ in with a 1 din cd player. I was thinkin about that too, as a last resort. Otherwise, He will spend up to $200 i think. He also wants it to be better than the Bose Gold Series stock one and the new Alpine I just put in the Jag.
My JVC is a single din and I stuck the THREE.1 in there. looks good now. Why not just get a single din unit and buy one of those mounting pockets with it? They fit really good and look good too.
How about something with a touch screen, like the AVIC. Anyway, use the right interface. The correct interface will provide all the inputs the AVIC will need from the data line. Seriously simplifies the install.

hmm the jvc has a 7 band eq,but only one set of rca outs. the pioneer has 2 sets of rca's yet only a 3 band parametric eq. any idea how many bits the d/a converter has?

we started to put in the HU and got it to tur on and it is now integrated into the BOSE sysytem and amps with a harness made especially for a Vette. the onl problem is that when you change stations on the radio, the system pops. its really annoying and all. the harness uses RCA's to convert power to the amps this is what we used. what could be wrong? http://metraonline.com/fitl.aspx there was 3 different ground wires, we just put all 3 together and used those. i was thinking it is a ground problem.
