    Hi there,

I am new to this forum. I got a new Civic and need a system for it. Here in India, we only ha ve a few choices to work with. What I have found is in my city, theres only one Authorised dealer and that is of JBL.

I ave heared JBL Are good ones. So please tell me what subs should I get and what for them

My budget is around 600 USD (a small up/down is possible but not a major one)

    Thanx!

Welcome. Well, i live in the philippines and we have a lot of choices here but everything is pretty expensive here. I'm sure India has more to offer then JBL.

where in India do you live? I'm sure there are some car audio shops there.

what are your choices on JBL amps and subs in India. I was on ebay india and there isn't much there at all for car audio.

Are there any particular models of amps and subs you were looking at?

Hi, yes in India there are some places where you get all the stuff. But in my city, there isnt much options available. Also, you have also got to know that ebay is not much of help.

Dont remember about the Subs, but I have seen some GTO series amps here. But they werent mono if I know accurately. They were 4 channels. I might be wrong. But regarding the GTO series, I am sure they are available.

I keep seeing SPL on this forum...
SPL: sound presure level(the measurement of the ratios of sound energy?)?
is that what everyone is refering to? and what would an SPL system be?

Sarao, What about ording stuffs online? alot of places offer world wide shiping...

in my opinion JBL makes a good product. if it bass you want then a 2 ch amp bridged mono to a 4 ohm sub. most likely a 10. that should sound nice.

for an all around nice sounding system you can get a 4 ch and wire the front speakers to it and the sub off of the rear channels bridged. so it would be a 3 ch amp.

do you have an after market head unit or the stock one?

true, but when it comes to shipping they charge A LOT then I would be spending in going to a city more than 2k KMS away from here. Also, customs/imports duty/shipping insurance all that makes it an expensive deal.

The JBL/CROWN MACRO amps are very good. They make a lot of power and are very good quality. they are pretty expensive but you get what you pay for.
